Treatment for Spider Veins

Sclerotherapy is a treatment for spider veins, the thin red or purple veins on the skin’s surface. One of our providers injects Asclera (polidocanol) directly into the vein, which irritates the lining of the vessel, causing it to scar and collapse. This forces the blood to reroute through healthier veins, while the damaged vein fades away over the next two to six months.

Some veins such as larger varicose veins require more extensive evaluation and treatment by a vascular or vein specialist.
